RIBBON CUTTING AT ITHACA’S WEST END HEIGHTS BUILDING

Trowbridge Wolf Michaels, a Fisher Associates PE, LS, LA, DPC Landscape Architecture Studio, recently attended the ribbon cutting for the West End Heights mixed-use apartment building project. We are proud to have been a partner with PLAN Architects for Lakeview Health Services and Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. (INHS) on this impactful project that provides safe, affordable housing in the City of Ithaca, NY.

This new 60-unit mixed-use apartment building is located on a 3/4-acre site in the West End District. It was designed to support low-income families and individuals recovering from serious mental illness. There are 22 units available to the general community, and 38 units provided for those with special needs with the opportunity to live in a supportive environment, near essential community services in an established, walkable neighborhood.

This project hit home with our Landscape Architecture studio as it is directly supporting our community. We are thankful we had the opportunity to work on this project and look forward to seeing how this positively affects our community. Additionally, the West End Heights Project was awarded as one of the 2022 LEED Homes Award for Outstanding Affordable Projects.
