We are thrilled to share that our Landscape Architecture team at Fisher Associates received three awards at the 2025 NY Upstate ASLA Awards Ceremony this past Friday!
Each of these projects is a reflection of the value we bring to our clients and communities — combining design excellence, innovation, and a deep understanding of place to create spaces that inspire and endure.
Merit Award – Large Scale Built Design: Cornell North Campus Residential Expansion: A transformative residential landscape that integrates sustainability, pedestrian connectivity, and inclusive design into the everyday student experience. Our work reimagines how campus landscapes can shape and support vibrant community life at Cornell University.
Merit Award – Large Scale Built Design: Cataract Commons: An inviting and adaptable civic plaza in downtown Niagara Falls that honors local identity. Through thoughtful design elements – from lighting and paving to furnishings and plantings – we created a flexible space that encourages programming, performance, and everyday gathering.
Merit Award – Research & Communication: Newport Waterfront Path Wayfinding: A comprehensive signage and placemaking system that enhances the user experience along Vermont’s waterfront greenway. Our team blended aesthetics and function to guide visitors while telling the rich cultural and ecological story of the region.
At Fisher Associates, we are passionate about delivering lasting value through collaboration, creativity, and a client-centered approach to every project. We are grateful to our clients, partners, and the ASLA jury for recognizing the impact of these efforts. Congratulations to our outstanding team for continuing to advance the field through purposeful design.
