Our concern as landscape architects are the streetscapes, circulation systems, transit systems, civic monuments, plazas, open space, and pocket parks – and the relationships among them and the surrounding context. Regardless of project scale, our detail-oriented approach includes uncovering the nature of these relationships to develop imaginative and contextual solutions as unique expressions of each community in which we work. We have decades of experience preparing municipal and neighborhood plans, waterfront redevelopment plans, pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure systems, and iconic urban spaces. Collaboration between municipalities, public interest groups, designers, and developers is integral to our process. We embrace interdisciplinary partnerships to navigate all aspects of the urban design process. TWMLA combines strong design skills with an ability to act as effective facilitators on complex urban design projects. TWMLA’s fluency with coordinating public outreach and creating accessible project deliverables for stakeholders is invaluable during the design visioning process.
